Whether or not you have a University connection, you are invited to join the URVC volunteer center and become an active volunteer for the University or the surrounding community.
The Volunteer Center acts as a referral service for organizations seeking volunteers and for volunteers of all ages seeking meaningful and rewarding experiences. As a volunteer, you select the activities that appeal to you and fit your schedule—either a one-time event or a continuing commitment.
Volunteer choices include campus programs, special events, research projects, and community activities. Additional opportunities are available as requests for volunteer assistance are received. The duration of most projects is usually four hours in any one day. Except for weekly tutoring activities, most projects are limited to a single day. No minimum commitment is required of volunteers.
For more detailed information or to indicate your interest in volunteering, e-mail the Volunteer Center at urvc@umn.edu or call the office, 612-625-8016.
